The Hwange National Park is Zimbabwe’s largest national park. It is situated in the area of the dry savannah of the Kalahari Basin. The park is home to more than 400 different animal species, such as elephants, hyenas, buffalos and many other species.

The Matopo National Park got its name, meaning “bare heads”, from the word “Matobo”, because the landscape is characterised by granite hills that have evolved millions of years ago.

Particularities: UNESCO World Heritage
The Victoria Falls National Park is located immediately around the Victoria Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage which fascinates even the locals time after time. They call the falls “Mosi-oa-Tunya”, meaning “the smoke which thunders”. Along a width of 1,700 m the Zambezi River falls 108 m into the depth. At the entrance to the park the visitor receives further information about the development and history of the falls. There are several lookouts within the area, featuring the breath-taking view of the world-renowned natural spectacle.

The Zambezi National Park is situated in the area of the Mopane forest and the savannah. It is known for its sable antelopes and is also home to other animal species, such as lions.
