The Banhine National Park is still a relatively little known national park. Although situated in a dry environment, it also has some wetlands which provide the region with water. These areas allow for a variety of animal species in the park.

The Gorongosa National Park is the oldest and best known national park of Mozambique and was once considered one of the most beautiful national parks in Africa. The civil war in Mozambique destroyed large areas and strongly reduced the wildlife stock. The reconstruction has been going on since 1998. Meanwhile, the park features a unique variety of species again.

The Limpopo National Park is part of the “Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park”, a nature reserve crossing the borders and uniting the Kruger National Park in South Africa, the Gonarezhou National Park in Zimbabwe and the Limpopo National Park. During the civil war, the major portion of animals was extinct. However, nowadays, thanks to the resettlement of the animals, the park again features numerous species.

Particularities: Nature reserve across several countries
The Quirimbas National Park includes the Quirimbas archipelago, consisting of 31 islands. Only two of them are occupied by locals. With that, they are relatively untouched and offer to the visitors calm and relaxation.

Animals: Elephants, buffalos, lions, more than 375 fish species, whales, dolphins, 375 fish species
